女工は洗浄羊腸

I feel for you, Jane. I’ve been teaching at a public University for going on four years. When I began teaching, I was be one of the first adjuncts to get classes each semester, because of my teaching background, my degree, and my excellent evaluations. As each semester passed, though, I got fewer and fewer classes, for no particular reason (at least, no reason that was ever communicated to me). My evaluations were high to begin with, but they actually got better and better with each passing semester. My interactions with staff and administrations were always positive. I contributed to text books by writing essays and articles for them. I joined committees. Still, my “ranking” kept dropping, for no clear reason (and, the University I teach for gives adjuncts no feedbackno end of year feedback, nobody ever comes in to monitor our classrooms, etc). This semester,the head of my department stepped down, and a new person took her place. This new head emailed me a few days ago and said I would not be getting classes for the Spring because they had fewer classes to offer adjuncts. Because I knew for a fact that adjuncts with less experience, and inferior evaluations, had gotten classes,I sent a very professional, kind email, asking if there was anything I could do in the future to improve my ranking, since clear I’d fallen beneath even new, inexperienced adjuncts fresh out of grad school (I did not include the latter part in my email, but you get the idea). No response. Nothing. Nada. I am so upset and enraged; I have no job now. I just had to get this off my chest. I hope you find good work, elsewhere, Jane, and I hope I do too! It’s not that I can’t imagine getting fired, and it’s not that I think I never make mistakes; maybe I HAVE made mistakes, and that’s why my ranking’s dropped. But shouldn’t I be told what I’ve done wrong? I just don’t get the system.

I got a great deal on a couch at a local furniture store in the “dent and ding” section. It was missing a leg, which was very easy to replace they actually sell sofa legs at Lowe’s. And it had a fabric skirt that came down to the floor, so you couldn’t see it. Anyway, I only paid about 40% of retail, and it’s got down stuffed cushions, 8 way hand tied springs, all that stuff. Might be worth checking your local stores.
